The hightlight of the tour will be the annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.

Thanks to its annual International Balloon Fiesta, Albuquerque is known as the "Hot Air Balloon Capital of the World." Pilots from around the globe bring balloons of all shapes and sizes to New Mexico during the week-long festival, held in early October.

The festival's displays go way beyond traditional hot air balloons. The Wells Fargo Special Shape Glowdeo is a can't-miss event, when animals, monsters, cars, and other funky-shaped balloons are fired up at once, followed by a huge fireworks display.

Travel's Triple Reward:

Anticipation - Realization - Remembrance!

"What is Traveling? Changing your place? By no means!
Traveling is changing your opinions and your prejudices."

Anatole France (1844-1924)

"The world is a great book of which they who never stir from home read only one page."

St. Augustine of Hippo (354 - 430 A.D.)

"To move, to breath, to fly, to float, To gain all while you give, To roam the roads of lands remote: To travel is to live." -

Inscription on the base of the statue of Hans Christian Andersen in Copenhagen, Denmark.

In August, 2000 I led a Scandinavian tour and visited this statue of Hans Christian Andersen in Copenhagen. Recently, Andersen's famous quote "To Travel is to Live" was popularized as a challenge to contestants on the TV Reality Show, "The Amazing Race."
